Function: Business Development / Networking
Actualize Consulting is currently searching for an experienced Federal Business Development Executive or Program Manager with a track record of defining and executing effective Business Development strategies in the Federal marketplace. This candidate will have HUD, FHA, Treasury, and/or FDIC project experience to assist Actualize with networking efforts. This individual will have had experience on the ground working on projects at these listed agencies; and will know the landscape of these said agencies.
This position is responsible for oversight of the proposal process for federal opportunities, producing winning proposals, ensuring federal government compliance and oversight of partnership contract development. Operations responsibilities include identification and improvement of government processes, identification of new opportunities, monitoring sales goals, and backup management support. In addition, this position will assist the Partners and help to develop new business strategies, conduct market analysis, and develop new and improved methods for marketing solutions and services through various new and traditional channels in the federal sector. Also, knowledge of all Actualize Consulting’s sales and contracting processes and business development processes is required.
Required Skills:
•Substantial experience in the Federal marketplace, including sales and Business Development efforts involving Financial Services solutions.
•Extensive experience and understanding of Government contract vehicles including GSA, Prime and subcontractor relationships experience, Federal Government market business development, contracting process, and negotiations
•Experience with sales proposal writing required
•Must have contract negotiation skills and contracting experience
•Ability to work well at the executive and all functional levels within an organization.
•Work as part of the Business Development team to provide market research data, information and insight which will support management's evaluation of potential opportunities for growth and profitability.
•Understand and work in all stages of the sales and business development cycle, including outbound cold calling, lead qualification and proposal development.
•Ability to identify problems and provide creative solutions
•Ability to facilitate business unit productivity and growth by sponsoring and championing new processes, programs and ideas
•Requires proven leadership skills, process improvement, organization and planning capabilities
•Requires multidisciplinary and multi-organizational team work expertise and team leadership expertise
•Must possess skills to collaborate with both internal and external customers
•Must be able to develop and maintain potential business partnerships
•Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
•Master's degree in a related discipline
•Understanding of budgeting and pricing preferred
Experience and Qualifications:
•Extensive understanding of the Federal Government market, Government Contract Vehicles, and Government Sales
•Expertise in Business Development, government contracting vehicles, contracting process and negotiations.
• Understands the Financial Services consulting business and contracting services with the federal government
•A strong track record of working with sales and marketing teams to identify, qualify and close opportunities
•Ability to speak with decision-makers to communicate the value of our solutions and secure appointments.
•Partner with Directors, Operations, and Consultants to grow our business in this defined territory.
•Ability to effectively strategize with the executive management team and report on Business Development status with expertise concerning pricing, technical and strategic business considerations
•A history of managing and meeting financial targets (sales, revenue, margin, pipeline, etc.)
•In addition, the ability to take a leadership role in articulating and formulating Business Development strategies will be a key ingredient for success.
